A place where we aim to bring your landscape visions to life through a detailed process including onsite consultation, design and construction. Based in Sydney Bluegum Landscaping and Paving brings with it 16 years of experience in the structural landscape field. James has worked hard to build a family orientated business that prides itself on customer service catering to the Sydney Basin. We work closely with families and individuals to obtain their ideas and concepts and bring them to life through a particular process. Details matter
Every project starts with an onsite consultation with Bluegum Landscaping and Paving. Prior to the onsite visit you will be sent an Consultation Invite that explains who we are, our vision and why to appoint us to construct your landscape.
James Nicholson, Owner of Bluegum Landscaping and Paving will speak directly with the client obtaining boundaries to organise an onsite visit and develop a plan to ensure expectations and a scope of works are met to create the desired landscape. Every project is unique, this is why Bluegum Landscaping and Paving work hard to build a relationship with every client prior to commencing works to ensure the highest standard of craftmanship is achieved on every project from start to finish. The consult fee of $150.00 helps cover my time on the project and the hours it takes to type up a detailed quotation.
Many factors effect an overall project, it may be budget, council approvals, engineering specifications, chosen materials, time frame, and design. During the initial meeting James will be able to identify potential areas of the project that may need extra consideration and from here develop a clear path forward providing a vision that becomes reality.

One of the single most important aspects to a landscape project is the initial design. It is at this critical point that your ideas and concepts in conjunction with our expertise come together to create a vision. From here we then appoint the team from A Total Concepts Pool designers and Landscape Architects who apply their skills to create a project that meets all the rigourous requirements needed to develop the project.
There are two major aspects to consider when designing your landscape project, one being practicality and the other the aesthetic appeal. When both of these elements combine we have the ability to maximise the full potential of your property enhancing its value and creating your desired space.
Once all aspects of the landscape design have been communicated and developed a detailed quote that provides the full scope of works, contract, terms and conditions and payment schedule will be presented to the client. Home Warranties insurance will be obtained as per Government requirements and a Construction Certificate obtained for works to commence. We then require a deposit to lock you into our work schedule and officially Welcome you to our Backyard.
Construction process
Your dream comes to life
Generally the team starts with a site set up and from here begins the rigorous process of excavation creating a blank canvas. The team then utilise this to start the main construction elements of the project. These elements can include the construction of retaining walls, drainage, concrete, pool renovations, tiling, decking, cabanas and many other aspects. Following these major elements the team finishes off with the soft-scaping side of landscaping which includes laying of turf, planting, irrigation and other aspects that apply the beautiful finishing touches.
Bluegum Landscaping and Paving will utilise its 16 years if experience and skilled implementation to construct your landscape whilst adhering to relevant Australian building standards, NSW GOVT regulations and council and Engineering standards.
Once complete James will run through the project with his clients to ensure all quoted aspects are met and a final sign off is completed.
The process requires detailed planning to ensure the best result. James and his team has a vast set of skills, bringing the right knowledge to you and your backyard.
